Last night we met Cookie's estranged sister, Candace, played by Vivica A. Fox.
She's back in Cookie's life because their other sis, Carol, is in a
major downward spiral, and they need to help her, for the sake of her
kids if nothing else.
Still, while we can't see Cookie letting her family down, based on the harsh words exchanged in this promo, it looks like these sisters won't work together smoothly.

Alicia Keys drops by next week playing a pop star named Skye Summers
who appears to be joining Empire Entertainment. However, this gal has a
secret, and tells Jamal she thinks her fans wouldn't like it if she told
her "whole truth" — a fear he totally disagrees with.
Since she's bonding with Jamal, the natural assumption is Skye's in the closet. Whatever she's keeping to herself, it looks like the middle Lyon brother draws it out of her (in song, of course). We just hope opening up doesn't hurt her career — or her connection to Empire. Lucious isn't always the most understanding guy...

Most exciting of all, it looks like Anika has totally lost
it in the wake of her unexpected pregnancy. In the promo she shows up
uninvited to a party Hakeem's throwing, and then later yells at him to
"stop fighting it!" declaring, "You love me." That is... Yeah. That's
just sad. Come on, Boo Boo Kitty, you're better than trying to convince a
20-something boy he's in love with you when he's clearly not.
